That'd be pretty handy! Kind of like "hey you didn't do these tasks yesterday, do you want to move them to another date or discard them?". I'd use this a lot!

I use Structured because I have ADHD. In fact, I came across this app when using "ADHD" as a search term in the app store. In my opinion, not having auto-moving uncompleted tasks is the BIGGEST flaw in this app. A person with ADHD is not going to remember to move their tasks every day if incomplete. Please, please, please, prioritize this. Any of the formats others have proposed below is better than no automated moving at all.

      Me too! I second it.

It would be better if this is an option. Recurring, especially daily tasks, can also fill up the inbox. For instance, I have "read" in my morning routine, but some mornings I hit snooze too much and don't do it. I like to see what I didn't do without having 100 instances of "Read" in the inbox.

Yes, an option (ideally per task). There are some tasks I, too, might like a record of "didn't do". IMO, the feature is needed (pay bill) but too powerful if all routine tasks are included.

I agree this should be an option, either globally or for individual tasks. One of the reasons I've settled on Structured is because it DOESN'T automatically roll over incomplete tasks. I like that I have to do it manually and make the choice (although it would be nice if it was slightly easier - at the moment if I drag it to a different date it's a bit hit-and-miss because the task obscures the dates)

Yes Also how about an easy option to hide completed tasks so I have a clearer view of what else I have to do near the end of the day

      Or fade them out.

Auto-rescheduling missed tasks to the next day’s next open time slot would result in me cancelling two competing calendar apps and purchasing this one for life. Only one calendar app I have ever found has implemented this: Motion, which costs a whopping $270/year. I pay for it anyway just for the task auto-rescheduling. Implement this feature and save us all a ton of money. Added bonus, you now have a path forward into the project management calendar space which has practically no competition.

I resemble that, and second your motion! Well stated.

Or maybe an option when you create a task to select that says « move to inbox if uncompleted »

smart, I think that should be a quick win as a first patch!

I believe that would be one of the least intrusive ways to do it and then at the bottom of the task setting you would have the choice of what to do with the task if uncompleted in a similar format as seen here. There could be Three buttons do (nothing, Report tomorrow, and move to Imbox)

Frankly, this is a bug not a feature. I indicated I had a thing I wanted to do. I scheduled it for the day. I didn't do it. Now it just… never appears anywhere unless I remember to look back at that day? I'm not sure I feel secure using this as my storage…

      Almost, except...

—auto-rescheduling of recurring daily tasks can also feel like bug. Many apps do this: returning from a holiday or illness can be overwhelming.

Only workaround I can think of is to duplicate & leave original in the inbox at the top, maybe with an emoji in the beginning of the title (⭐️).

I agree. This is a huge oversight in a task management/planner app. I think at minimum there needs to be a place to go look for them. Because as it stands, the only option you have is to go back day by day and check. Life happens and things don’t always go to plan, but that doesn’t mean you don’t still want or need to complete tasks you had planned to do. This oversight means they slip through the cracks and can’t easily be rescheduled.

Yes! It’s so time consuming to have to individually move tasks. There should definitely be an option to auto move them either to the next day or your inbox. And/or an option to mark them as “past due” or something, similar to how Google tasks carry over every day & just indicate how much past due they are.

Rejecting this is a nonsense. Meaning anything that is not completed and already past is lost forever as this app has not even a basic search function … someone is not being serious here and working on trash as AI function is … who needs that?!
