Update task end time when it's completed early
When working on a task, it would be great if the end time updated when the task is finished early. This would reflect the additional free time available.

Would also be great if the task extended to the current time if running late - as without a simple drag to resize/extend/shorten a task, the current workflow for changing durations is quite tedious.

^^^ this for sure. rescheduling with these features (plus multi-select) would be much less tedious/time consuming.

If there was a way to say you were starting the task, and it automatically moved to that time that would be great

This would also be great in combination with something like a ‚task chain‘. So the next task can be scheduled ‚when previous tasks ends‘ or ‚10 min after previous task‘ or something like this.

Yes! This and select/edit multiple tasks, pushing back tasks, extending tasks etc.. I love this app but it's really hard to reschedule things right now, which can be annoying when my days are flexible.

I made an account just to upvote this one! Anything that makes it easier to adjust plans as the day evolves is incredibly helpful, because the day NEVER goes as planned.
Drag and drop has already been a gamechanger for this, making it easier to move things around.

I’m here more for the extras suggested below - to be able to reschedule ALL/mulit tasks if you take a different time to start/finish a task. The fact then you really need to readjust the day manually is so off putting, and I often just waste my time rescheduling instead of doing… which then throws me off again…

I would want an option to not push the end time. I wrote my own post about reclaiming time if the task is marked complete early so the time to next task and available time are updated. Unfortunately it was merged with this request that adds pushing the end time until the task is marked completed.
I don't always mark something done until the next event prompts me to look at Structured. If I open the app to look at my time available, I'd like it to reflect the additional time so I can plan additional tasks. If I miss marking something complete with this feature it sounds like the rest of my day would get pushed back automatically and I'd miss appointments.
I'm not looking for a time clock app to track actual time spent on task. I want the app to feel helpful and not like its controlling and pushy. Pushing the end time would have to be optional/opt-in if it implemented.
